Cool Cat Teacher Blog

I read the blog "Reviving the Dream," by blogger Vicki Davis. I was fasinated with her inspiring blog. She talked about how, as a person, one must not give up goals and dreams for fear of failure. She talked about how we must strive to reach those dreams, not let them fall by the wastside. She used several quotes throughout her blog to show different perpective on the same topic. Her introductory was strong with a quote from the her study in the Bible (particulary Revelations), "Sardis was a city of peace, not the peace won through battle, but the peace of a man whose dreams are dead and whose mind is asleep, the peace of lethargy and evasion," by William Barclay in his Letters to the Seven Churches.

So what? This blog is perfect for any student, parent, teacher, friend who struggles coming to gripes with their current reality. It's a great resource for motivation. She talked about how she wanted to become a successful buisness owner, and went into teaching. As a teacher she feels content, but is constantly striving to improve the technoliogical element of school she works at. Now What? After reading this article, I realized that I can't give up my passions for music. I realized that I can pursue both singing and teaching. I found it helpful that Mrs. Davis wasn't shy about integrating her faith in her blogs and I found that inspiring also.

  1. Sarah, I love how Mrs. Davis is able to weave her personal faith with her teaching. She is well known in the education community but she isn't afraid to let her readers know what is really important to her. Did you leave a comment on her blog? I think that she would love to read what you said in your blog entry.
