What?
Lately in my classes I have used the Smart Board in almost all of my presentations. I have grown accustomed to it because I have the software on my computer. Often times when I create a lesson plan I try to in some way utilize it.
So what?
Why am I talking about this? Well, I feel that the Smart Board is a great tool. I have enjoyed having my entire lesson at my finger tips. The only issue I find in the Smart Board usage is the opportunity a teacher can have to "coast." With the software comes several different full lesson plans. They are great, and very thorough. Unfortunately, I could see someone easily substituting this tool as the main focus of a lesson.
Now what?
With this new technology, I feel that we need to make sure that we implement it in the classroom, but we don't use it as a substitution for teaching.

I agree. I think the smart board is super helpful for keeping the flow of a lesson going with video clips and interactive lessons staying in order. But teachers should also be able to be flexible with their lesson depending on how the students are learning or what they are struggling with.
